“Dr. Hristina Georgieva” Law Office signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Law at Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”.
We are pleased to announce that in year 2025 "Dr. Hristina Georgieva" Law Office and the Faculty of Law at Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski" entered into a cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, they have agreed to combine their efforts, professional experience, knowledge, and skills to carry out the following joint activity: selection of law students from the Faculty of Law at Plovdiv University who to participate in the Summer Academy on Comparative and European Private Law—an event organized since 2000 by the Faculty of Law at the University of Salzburg and the Academy of European Private Law.
Under the cooperation agreement, students from the Faculty of Law at Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski" will gain knowledge of more than 30 different legal systems and enhance the quality of their studies in European and comparative private law; they will participate in case-study working groups, network with legal professionals from over 30 leading universities worldwide, and interact with lecturers who serve as supreme court judges and practicing lawyers.
Attorney Dr. Hristina Georgieva was nominated in two categories at the 2024 National Justice Awards:
"Case of the Year" and "Justice Abroad."
The National Justice Awards took place on November 29, 2024.
Attorney Dr. Hristina Georgieva received nominations in two categories: "Case of the Year" and "Justice Abroad." The nomination is a recognition both of her successful work on the case for the infringement of Emil Dimitrov’s copyright on the song "Moya strana, moya Bulgaria" and of her professional achievements as the first and, to date, only Bulgarian elected as a Council Member of the European Law Institute, as well as the first and, to date, only Bulgarian invited to lecture at the annual Summer Academy on European and Comparative Private Law—an event organized by the Academy of European Private Law in cooperation with the Faculty of Law at the University of Salzburg (Austria) and over 30 leading universities worldwide.
Dr. Hristina Georgieva was awarded by a jury comprising Judge Mariyana Kuncheva of the General Court of the European Union; Prof. Dr. Ognyan Gerdzhikov, Corresponding Member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences; Prof. Dr. Atanas Semov, holder of the EU Jean Monnet Chair; and attorney Vladimir Donchev.

held at the University of Galway, Ireland
At the invitation of Prof. Geraint Howells - Dean of the College of Business, Politics and Law at the University of Galway, Dr. Hristina Georgieva was a guest speaker at the conference "Game changers: The Business of Games - A Legal Perspective", held on 16.10.2024 in Galway, Ireland.
The conference brought together internationally recognized video game creators, intellectual property law educators and legal practitioners.
Dr. Hristina Georgieva introduced the attendees to the tax and financial incentives for game development in Bulgaria, making a comparative analysis between them and those applied in other countries where the gaming industry is highly developed.
